Dona Ana County lifted the evacuation orders for residents and visitors in Salem, Hatch, Garfield, Placitas Tuesday night, as storms have passed and additional large volumes of rain are not forecasted.
The evacuation order remains in effect for Rincon. Residents in Rincon who evacuated should not return home at this time due to the dangers of standing floodwaters. Conditions in the area remain unsafe, and residents should continue to follow evacuation instructions from emergency officials.
