As families enjoy their summer break, Las Cruces Public Schools has published its generalized school supply lists for the 2026-2027 school year to help parents and guardians prepare for the return to class.
The supply lists are available now on the district website and include recommended materials for elementary, middle, and high school students. The lists are intended to provide families with a general guide before the start of the school year. Specific supply requirements may vary by classroom, and students should check with their teachers once school begins for any additional items that may be needed.
LCPS will continue to provide several basic supplies for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, including pencils, glue sticks, tissue and wide-ruled lined paper.
The first day of school for students in kindergarten, sixth grade and ninth grade is Friday, July 24, 2026. All remaining students will return to school on Monday, July 27, 2026.
Families who need assistance obtaining school supplies are encouraged to contact their child’s school directly. Additional back-to-school information will be shared throughout the summer on the LCPS website and official social media channels.
