Public encouraged to learn more about district funding priorities and the budget development process
Las Cruces Public Schools invites parents, staff and community members to participate in the district’s next Budget Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the boardroom of the Dr. Karen M. Trujillo Administration Complex, 505 S. Main St. in Las Cruces.
Led by the LCPS Finance Division, the meeting will provide an overview of the district’s budget development process, including funding priorities, budget timelines and opportunities for public input as LCPS prepares for the 2027-28 fiscal year.
Chenyu Liu, Deputy Superintendent of Finance, Procurement and Budget, and Matthew Saenz, Director of Budget Analysis and Development, will lead the discussion.
The Budget Town Hall is part of the district’s ongoing commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility and community engagement. Public feedback plays an important role in identifying priorities and informing decisions about how district resources are allocated to support student success.
Community participation is encouraged, and the meeting is open to the public.
