Las Cruces police held a traffic enforcement operation Wednesday morning along north Valley Drive and Hoagland Road.
The Las Cruces Police Department’s Traffic Unit issued 46 citations during a one-hour enforcement operation Wednesday morning near Mayfield High School.
Of the 46 traffic citations, 11 were issued to motorists who exceeded the posted speed limit and 10 to drivers operating a motor vehicle without proper registration.
Other citations issued during the operation included:
- 7 for failure to provide proof of insurance
- 2 for no driver’s license
- 4 for using a cell phone while driving
- 3 for window obstruction
- 9 for miscellaneous traffic infractions
The traffic enforcement operation was held about 8-9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, along north Valley Drive and Hoagland Road. Similar traffic enforcement operations will likely be held in the coming weeks.
