The Las Cruces Police Department’s Traffic Unit issued 64 citations during a one-hour enforcement operation Thursday morning on E Lohman Avenue between Walton and Solano Drive.
Of the 64 traffic citations, 15 were issued to motorists who exceeded the posted speed limit, 22 to drivers operating a motor vehicle without proper registration and nine for driving without proof of insurance.
Other citations issued during the operation included:
5 for no driver’s license
3 for using a cell phone while driving
7 for miscellaneous traffic infractions
The traffic enforcement operation, held along the Lohman corridor, began at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, and lasted about one hour. Similar traffic enforcement operations will likely be held in the coming weeks.
The Las Cruces Police Department reminds citizens to remain aware of posted speed limits and exercise caution in school zones throughout the community.
