| Hatch Valley High School Music Parents Music Tour Fundraiser The Hatch High School Music Department will be on tour April 30th through May 3rd, presenting concerts in Southern New Mexico, Arizona, and California. You can help the music parents raise the necessary funds for the trip by participating in one of the following fundraising activities: The 2nd Annual Golf Tournament - - Saturday, April 24th at 1pm at Sonoma Ranch Golf Course. Individual Players and teams are welcome, and hole sponsorships are available. Hatch Salsa Event - - donate $5 and receive a pint of red, green, or hot jalepeno salsa. Letterman Jacket Drawing - - donate $5 to be entered into the drawing for a brand new HVHS Letterman jacket. | Mesilla Valley Audubon Society Excellence in Teaching Award Mesilla Valley Audubon Society announces the opening of nominations for the 13th Lorraine Schulte Excellence in Teaching Award. An award of $200 will be presented to a teacher who excels in encouraging children to care for the environment. Applicants are asked to list the objectives of the teacher’s program along with a brief description of teaching techniques, program activities and a simple evaluation of the outcome.
