Here's a new trick to help you make better decisions.
--A study at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh found that if you distract yourself for just TWO minutes before you decide on something, you'll pick the smarter option.
--You just need a distracting activity that totally engages your mind, and lasts two minutes. Like listening to an early BEATLES song, playing a turn on "Words With Friends", or eating an ice cream sandwich.
--The researchers say the two-minute break helps because your conscious mind gets stuck on little details. But your UNconscious mind sees the bigger picture.
--And even when you distract your conscious mind, your unconscious mind keeps working. So when you get back to making the decision, the smarter pick should be more clear.

The CW confirmed the show’s return with a press release this afternoon, saying that new episodes of Whose Line will air on the network this summer. A premiere date will be announced at a later time.
The new incarnation will be hosted by The Talk host Aisha Tyler, a comedian who also stars on FX’s Archer. Master improvisers Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, and Wayne Brady — all cast members of the original show — will appear in each episode, along with one special guest comedian.
There’s just one thing missing from the revived series: original host, producer, and occasional improviser Drew Carey, who apparently has no involvement in the new Whose Line. When asked for comment, Carey’s rep told EW that she hadn’t heard anything about the revived show. Carey hosted a similar program, Drew Carey’s Improv-A-Ganza, on the Game Show Network in 2011. Both Stiles and Mochrie made frequent appearances on Carey’s series.

Not many guys will admit they were once bed-wetters, but Diddy copped to it on Friday’s “Ellen.”
Diddy and Mark Wahlberg were on the show to hype their new water, AQUAhydrate and Diddy used his once-weak bladder as a selling point.
He said, “I grew up as a Kool-Aid kid. I never drank water. I used to pour a half a pound of sugar into the Kool-Aid.
“Besides it having me bouncing off the walls, I used to be a bed wetter. OK, I guess I’m confessing that I used to be a bed wetter.”
He added, “I went on this quest to stop wetting the bed, and the first day that I had a sleepover and I didn’t wet the bed, it was, like, one of the greatest days of my life.
“It gave me the swagger that I have today because I stopped wetting the bed…There is something about sugar that makes you wet the bed.”

After Tina Fey and Amy Poehler put on a good show at the Golden Globes, the fans reached a consensus that they should hold everything.
But, when asked about hosting the Oscars, Tina Fey said there is no chance.
"It's too hard of a gig, especially for a woman... the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone . . . no way."
Even when they asked if there was a slight chance, she said, "I wish I could tell you there was."

The video for Kendrick Lamar's song Poetic Justice was put up on the 22nd of this month, and it has a lot of peculiar imagery in it. The video is definitely worth checking out. You can find it here:

Rumors have been floating around (from a British tabloid, so it's very possible for this to be BS) that Chris Brown and Rihanna are going to be getting married this summer. If just getting married wasn't enough, it is also rumored the wedding is going to be craaazy.
Attractions will be, but are not limited to:
-Near naked waiters
-Tatoo artists
-Fire breathers
Pre-rolled joints
If this wedding does happen, it is unlikely Katy Perry will be in attendance. She has never supported Rihanna's decision to go back to Chris Brown.
The PS4 was recently revealed, and there are a lot of mixed feelings about it. SONY's PS4 looks sleek and more high-tech than ever, but people are worried about the price tag.
Rumors are floating around that the PS4 with cost about $900 on its release date.
With the announcement of a new console, there are sure to be rumors of things like SONY locking used games(if you remember, these same rumors were started about the XBOX360 and PS3 when they were announced), and SONY has already confirmed these rumors to be untrue.
I don't know where I stand with the new generation of consoles; the most recent ones were all terrible. I only know that an XBOX Durango sounds like something I would order at Outback Steakhouse.

A lot of people speculate about what happens after you die.
Well, no matter what does happen, there is a new app out that sends out tweets after you die!
I think my post-mortem tweet would be something along the lines of:
"Chillin' with Billy Mays, hit us up"

I'm sure we've all heard stories about unruly children who think their parents are being unfair, but on Wednesday a child called 911 to report his mom for making him go to bed at an unreasonable hour. As per policy of 911, they actually did end up sending an officer out to the house. The officer lectured the kid about abusing 911, and no arrests or fines were issued.
I personally think the kid was a genius. By making the officer go out to his home, he probably did stay up past his bedtime.

There's a new way to lost weight:
It doesn't involve losing any of the foods you like, and it probably won't force you to give up on any activities you don't want to live without. It only costs you one thing:
Your marriage.
According to a new report, 50% of men and more than 50% of women report losing 6 to 10 pounds after they begin to have an affair.
There are a couple of theories behind this:
1.) The stress of an affair can cause the loss of weight
2.) When you're unhappy, you eat more food that tends to be less healthy than normal food. The affair makes you have positive feelings, so you cut back on unhealthy food.

A recent British travel site (sunshine.co.uk) completed a survey asking people over the age of 50 about some of the things they regret most in their life. Here are the survey results:
#1.) 91% wish they'd traveled more.
#2.) 72% regret their career choice. (--People could choose more than one thing.)
#3.) 64% would like to take back some bad relationship choices.
#4.) 55% wish they'd taken better care of their bodies.
#5.) 53% are sorry they lost touch with friends.
#6.) 46% wish they'd been more careful with their money.
#7.) 27% regret having children too early.
#8.) 25% think they worried about things too much.
#9.) 19% wish they'd been more of a "yes" person.
#10.) 8% regret having children too late.
I can definitely see #1 and #2 being on the list, but I think #9 is weird thing to be on the list at all and I would of thought #8 to be much higher on the list!

The latest single from Tunechi's upcoming I Am Not a Human Being II features Drake and Future and Wayne in what the Young Money boss described as an attempt to just "create awesome scenery."
Chris Brown was the victim, for a change, in an aggressive face-off with a heckler who got dangerously close to Chris' car, then yelled to CB ... "Is that [exploit] bulletproof?!"
The scary incident went down outside L.A. nightclub "Playhouse" -- Chris was making a quick exit in his Lamborghini when the man ran up to the car and started yelling, "I ain't never seen a [exploit] jump in a car that fast, [exploit]."
The man -- who's African-American -- continued a non-stop verbal assault on Chris ... saying, "Yo, scary-[exploit] Chris is that [exploit] bulletproof?" That's when the tension really amps up because Chris appears to yell back at the heckler ... asking if he's bulletproof.
The man replied, "I'm a crip [exploit], hell yeah, I'm bulletproof!"
Before Chris drives away, he rolls down the window of his car ... and you can hear someone (sounds like Chris) warn the heckler, "Don't get [exploit] up out here, my [exploit]."
Watch the clip ... it's hard to tell if the heckler is really drunk, really angry ... or both.
We gotta give props to Chris -- who's still facing a possible probation violation -- because he drove off without getting into it with the douchey heckler.

This morning, a huge meteor landed in the Ural regions of Russia. Leaving a trail of smoke, this giant fireball whizzed across the sky and created a tremble that nearby residents reported "felt like an earthquake." These shockwaves broke windows and injured many, and as many as 20,000 workers were sent to help assist in the damage in the region.
There are unconfirmed reports that the meteor was blown up by missile defense before it landed, and, of course, there are rumors floating around the internet about aliens and UFOs.

With each generation that comes and goes, different traditions and sayings come and go too. One tradition that affected by sayings that change is the tradition of those little candy hearts. This year, a lot of candy hearts are retiring from their fame and infamy.
Among the ones that are retiring, here are some of the better ones:
HEP CAT . . . DIG ME . . . GROOVY . . . FAX ME . . . and YOU ARE GAY.
Personally, I don't really understand retiring "Fax Me."
I would think faxing someone would be romantic. Like writing someone something on a typewriter made of dinosaurs.

Porta potties are pretty miserable things to have to use, but someone found an interesting way to use one on a golf course in Oklahoma. This Tuesday, the employees reported finding strange bottles inside of the porta potties.
It turns out someone had turned the inside of the porta potty into a mini-Meth Lab. The cops have found prints and a have a suspect, but I'd hate to be the guy who has to use a porta potty that turns out to be a meth lab equipped with a live tweaker.

Sometimes i think people put these studies out becuase they hate good music! Survey says listening to songs by the Black eyed peas, Kanye West and others, while behind the wheel, can be dangerous. The very unscientific study was conducted, which had four men and four women drive for 250 miles using a safe driving app while listening to a particular soundtrack.
The Doctor that broke down the study found that music that is noisy and upbeat can increases your heart rate which makes you a hazard behind the wheel and out on the open road. The optimum music volume for driving is 55 to 65 decibels and the optimum tempo should mimic the human heartbeat at around 60 to 80 beats per minute.

According to TMZ.com:
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have called it quits, ending their relationship after almost two years together.
According to various reports, it was Selena who pulled the plug on the relationship sometime last week.
The two first sparked dating rumors in November 2010 when they were spotted dining together at an IHOP, but didn't go public with their relationship until February 2011.
Gomez was often the target of rabid Bieber fans, who constantly attacked her for dating their beloved Biebs.
The couple battled break-up rumors multiple times -- most recently earlier this week when Justin was seen hitting up a Broadway play with a group of people that included 19-year-old Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin.
So we're guessing he'll be just fine.

If you grew up in the era that I did, give or take, you probably remember Rock The Vote as a powerhouse in delivering American politics to young voters. Yet, if you’ve been paying attention in this election year, Rock The Vote might seem conspicuously absent. It certainly has to me.
Rock The Vote was founded in 1990, and has registered more than 5 million young people—including an astounding 2.5 million in the 2008 election. In the Nineties, they were so firmly-entrenched with MTV, I always believed that Rock The Vote was a wholly-owned subsidiary of the network. It’s not. It’s actually an independent, nonpartisan and nonprofit organization, which was simply using MTV to reach its target demographic—and quite effectively, I should add.
I intended to write this column about how MTV’s latest initiative, Power of 12, is no match for the incredibly effective Rock The Vote campaign. And I suppose that thesis still holds.
If you’re unfamiliar with MTV’s Power of 12—well, you probably aren’t alone. The lackluster effort comes across as unserious and juvenile, in ways that Rock The Vote never has. Recent headlines on the Power of 12 website include “Which Kardashian Would Make The Best President,” “Nick Jonas Will Vote Absentee,” and a story about Jersey Shore’s “The Situation” asking CNN’s Wolf Blitzer why he should vote. To make matters worse, the site features a “Fantasy Election” element—as though the only way to engage young voters is to make it like their fantasy football leagues.
No, really. If you were trying to design a spoof site to target young voters, you couldn’t do worse. Instead of providing a little insight into ideas that matter to young voters—like Pell Grants, jobs plans, the DREAM Act, or insurance policies that effect 18-24 year olds—they offer profound quotes from celebrities like Olivia Wilde, saying “If you don’t vote, you can’t complain.”
If Power of 12 has gone largely unnoticed in this election cycle, it’s with good reason. Where Rock The Vote brought real issues, backed by the heft of real celebrities who believed in specific causes, MTV’s latest failure delivers reality stars hem-hawing their way around unimportant issues.
Rock The Vote, as it turns out, is still around. They’ve got a fairly active Facebook page, and the website RockTheVote.org is still in full swing. They have been traveling to college campuses to register young voters this year—as that is the primary mission of Rock The Vote. And they still do a decent job of bridging the worlds of politics and popular culture. In fact, last month they released a voter registration PSA featuring Miley Cyrus, Neil Patrick Harris, Josh Duhamel, Tony Hawk and others. I’m not real sure why Rock The Vote has all but disappeared from our collective consciousness, but it certainly seems that it has.
MTV, in all fairness, is not doing everything wrong. (Although, as someone who remembers watching music videos on MTV, and as someone who still hasn’t learned to appreciate Jersey Shore, I’d probably say that they’re doing most things wrong.) Their initiative to engage young people in social responsibility, “Act,” is actually pretty impressive. It tackles a whole host of important issues, from gender equality around the world to bullying. And it does it in a way that makes civic and social engagement seem pretty cool. You can check it out at act.mtv.com.
That’s what Rock The Vote used to do. It made it cool to get involved, to be engaged, and participate in the democratic process. We need more organizations like that. We need more young Americans to commit to making a difference.
